The CT department at The Christie is one of the busiest in the hospital with around 23,000 scans carried out every year. The department currently houses three CT scanners – but due to ever changing technology and a sizeable increase in the number of patients they see, their facilities are in desperate need of an upgrade. Their plans for the new CT department will involve redesigning and reconfiguring the current area, making the most of the latest technology and ensuring it is patient-friendly, private and less clinical. Their vision is that it will be more comfortable, dignified place for all patients to visit at the start of their journey at The Christie.
The money raised at Dream the Impossible is going towards the CT Departments redevelopment.
