Based in Bury the centre offers practical, emotional and social support for those living with cancer, their carers and also those that have been bereaved by cancer. Their services range from Counselling, benefits and nutritional advice to reiki, hypnotherapy and mindfulness.
The main project that the funding from Dream the Impossible has helped to deliver focuses on improving Mental Health for patients, carers and those who have been bereaved by Cancer.
Bury Cancer support are aiming to deliver a variety of different sessions in different formats and at different times so that they can engage with as many users as possible.
The donation has also meant that they have been able to introduce a creative session titled Creative Space. Here people come together and participate in a craft / art based activities where they are able to talk and support each other.
