The event raised a total of £231,000 for 8 Cancer Charties – Bloodcancer UK, Brain Tumour Charity, Maggies Manchester, Prevent Breast Cancer, Teenage Cancer Trust, The Christie Charity,The Joshua Tree, Young Lives vs Cancer and The Tim Bacon Foundation.

How the funds will be spent…

Blood Cancer UK – Verlingue – Higher Ground

Your gift will support Trial Treat Beat, our appeal to improve survival for the hardest-to-treat blood cancers. Currently, 70% of people do not survive, often dying within a year of diagnosis. Our aim is to double survival from 3 in 10 to 6 in 10 by funding innovative multi-arm, multi-stage clinical trials that test multiple treatments at once and speed up personalised care. We will also invest in clinical trial access and advocacy to ensure breakthroughs lead to better blood cancer care for all.

Brain Tumour Charity – Palatine PE – Fenix

We are deeply grateful for your incredible donation. Your generosity will directly support world‑class research into the causes, diagnosis, and treatment of brain tumours, as well as vital services for patients, families, and carers. It will also help us raise awareness of the signs and symptoms among the public and healthcare professionals. Together, these efforts bring us closer to accelerating cures, improving lifelong care, and amplifying the voice of the brain tumour community worldwide. Your support truly makes a huge difference.

Maggies Manchester – Williams BMW – San Carlo

Thanks to your generous donation, 900 visits to Maggie’s Manchester centre will be supported, giving people vital access to care and guidance. Your gift will also help individuals claim £230,000 worth of unclaimed benefits, easing financial pressures at a difficult time.

With the support of the Foundation we can continue to deliver our comprehensive group courses:
Getting Started – clear info about chemotherapy and immunotherapy
Family & Friends – a safe space for loved ones of someone with a diagnosis
Where Now? – support beyond treatment, preparing emotionally and practically for life after cancer
Yoga – sessions designed to boost energy and confidence during and after treatment.

Prevent Breast Cancer – KR8 Advisory – Tattu

Huge thank you to everyone, your support will help us fund ground-breaking research, deliver life-saving education, and raise awareness to stop breast cancer before it starts.

Teenage Cancer Trust – Hall Brown LLP, Trinity Bridge Holdings Ltd, Browne Jacobson – Lucky Cat

The money raised will make a huge difference and will help us continue to provide support for young people with cancer when they need it most. Donations fund the work of our incredible specialist nurses and youth support coordinators who support the young people with the social, emotional and practical side effects of having cancer as a young person

The Christie – Vita Group + Pareto FP – 20 Stories and Hawksmoor

Experts at The Christie are working to transform cancer care with a groundbreaking Total Body PET‑CT scanner. This innovative technology will allow more patients to be scanned in less time, producing high‑quality images that help diagnose cancer, track its spread, and guide targeted treatments. Unlike standard PET‑CT scans, which can take up to 30 minutes and require patients to remain completely still, the new scanner can complete a full‑body scan in just 5 minutes. It is more comfortable, safer thanks to lower radiation exposure, and suitable for vulnerable groups including pregnant women, babies, and those with certain medical conditions. Currently, the nearest Total Body PET‑CT scanners are in London and Edinburgh, but The Christie Charity has pledged £7 million to bring one to Manchester — ensuring patients across the North West have access to the very best in cancer care.

The Joshua Tree – Proveca Ltd + Together – Grand Pacific

The money raised will help us to expand the impact of our work. We’ve recently had our building double in size thanks to an incredible DIY SOS Big Build, and as a result hope to double the number of families supported in the next twelve months. Your donation will allow us to expand our team in order to make this possible.

Young Lives vs Cancer – Access Group + Wireless Social – Blacklock

The donation will help to fund 52 families to stay together for a week at one of Young Lives vs Cancer’s Homes from Home. More than a place to stay, they’re somewhere families can enjoy home comforts like home-cooked meals and fresh pyjamas. They’re a safe, supportive space where families can relax away from the hospital.

Tim Bacon Foundation – Harri + Candid Hospitality + Peach 2020 – The Alchemist and Founder’s Hall

T

The Tim Bacon Foundation are working with Manchester Metropolitan University to fund a PHD research into Prehabilitation – Improving Treatment Outcomes and Wellbeing for Cancer Patients.

Chemotherapy and surgery, in many cases, are the main treatments offered to those who receive a cancer diagnosis, and between 2013 and 2016 in England, 45% of diagnoses were treated with surgery. Evidence shows that actively improving your physical and mental health can help you recover more quickly from chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgery, as well as supporting your physical and emotional wellbeing during cancer treatment. Prehabilitation is a simple, effective and low cost tool to help people live well with cancer.
