NWTC Hosts Charity Golf Day
10th October 2019
A big thank you goes out to New World Trading and everyone that attended their golf day on Tuesday 8th October. The event was open to suppliers and employees in support of the Foundation.
Thankfully the weather stayed dry so everyone looked happy teeing off. The golfers in return for a mulligan (a piece of string!) were treated to a wee dram of Laphroaig on the 11th to warm them up.
The evening ended with a BBQ, more fundraising and a raffle.
The event raised a fantastic total of £1.8K for the Foundation.
SNOWDON STROLL
1st October 2019
On the 22nd September 50 walkers were going to take on Snowdon. Some were going to take the easier route and the others a more challenging one.
Unfortunately due to the Great British weather the Charity was advised by a Guide to cancel the walk, and as a result we needed to listen to the advise and couldn’t continue with the event.
However the teams from Red Door, Alchemist, Genre Music, Living Ventures and Barlow’s decided to ignore the advise and carry on regardless.
We take our hats of to them for their achievement and for the fact they carried ice, tequila and limes up the mountain so that everyone could enjoy a margarita at the top.

URBAN MARMALADE SUPPORTING TIM BACON FOUNDATION
2nd August 2019
My involvement with Tim started from the very first venture of his at JW Johnsons, where he served both myself and my now wife coffee. From there we were interested in all his new concepts, and being lucky enough to attend a few launch events during the growth of Spinningfields. He was my business idol and saw of lot of him in myself. Creativity, business lover, but also getting bored easily so couldn’t stand still to name a few. We had chatted via email where he gave advice on how to grow my businesses and occasionally on Twitter.
I feel strongly about the charity. I lost my Dad 4 years ago this month, then lost Tim the following year. I attended Tim’s memorial at the Albert Hall. Both men that meant something to me gone in quick succession. It’s time to help Tim’s legacy in any way I can.
