Sunday 14th October a cold and wet day, saw 80 supporters of the Tim Bacon Foundation come together to run the Manchester Half Marathon with the sole aim of raising as much money for the Tim Bacon Foundation.
The TBF stand in the athletes village looked wonderful with banners, pop ups and flags donated by Astra Signs, bunting and cheer flags from The Print Room UK. Our runners were extremely visible on the course in their corporate turquoise t-shirts kindly donated by London Linen and our cheer zones were visible with cheer flags and were certainly keeping our runners upbeat.
Our first runner arrived back at the stand in a remarkable 1hr and 27 minutes and was thankful to receive a massage from the Sports Injury Students from Salford University, all the runners arrived back at the stand intermitently and were grateful for a hot drink, fruit and water donated by Oliver Kay Produce and other sweet treats to get their strength back up...
The weather certainly didn't dampen the spirits on our stand and we are extremely proud of all of our runners who have managed to raise £35,000.00 collectively.
