William Lees-Jones takes up the challenge of visiting 100 pubs in a day!

Pub Tour in aid of TBF

On 15th November 2017, JW Lees will be launching our new brand identity for our beers.  So, I thought - how could I meaningfully get involved and came up with the idea of seeing how many JW Lees pubs I could visit in a day, setting off by car on a road trip from the Brewery in the morning.  We’ll be crossing at least four counties with the aim of 100 pub visits.

As you may imagine, I have been in training for months in preparation for this challenge - and no - I will not be having a pint in each pub - but I will be raising funds for The Tim Bacon Foundation which was set up to commemorate a great friend and colleague who sadly passed away last year.

The first appeal undertaken by The Tim Bacon Foundation is to support The Christie Hospital and University College London in their appeal to raise funds for Proton Beam Therapy centres in Manchester and London, and the charity will also support the Maggie’s Centres who provide much needed free practical, emotional and social support to people with cancer and their families and friends and is a key partner for the clinical services of the Christie Hospital.  So far over £500,000 has been raised.

Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to the charity.  Virgin Money Giving is a not-for-profit organisation and will claim gift aid on the charity's behalf.
